Oops! We couldn't find a guide for that one.

Don't panic! Sometimes guides get moved, or a device is just a bit too new (or old). The good news is that screen and battery replacements are incredibly common, and the internet has your back.

1 Find Your Exact Model Number

Before you do anything, make sure you know exactly what device you are holding. Parts can change drastically between years and variations (like a "Pro" vs a "Pro Max").

  • For iPhones: Go to Settings > General > About to find your Model Name and Model Number.
  • For MacBooks: Flip your laptop over. Look at the small text on the bottom case for a number starting with "A" (e.g., A2338).

2 Head over to YouTube

YouTube is a DIYer's best friend. There are thousands of fantastic, step-by-step videos made by repair shops and tech enthusiasts.

Search Formula: Type your [Brand] + [Exact Model Number] + [Part Name] + "Replacement Tutorial".

Example: "iPhone 13 Pro Max Screen Replacement Tutorial" or "MacBook Air A2338 Battery Replacement Step by Step"

3 Pick a Good Video & Watch It First!

Don't just click the first video and start unscrewing things! Look for a video that:

  • Is well-lit and clearly shows the tiny connectors.
  • Lists the tools you need before they start.
  • Explains why they are doing something, not just how.
Strictli Pro-Tip: Watch the entire video from start to finish before you ever pick up a screwdriver. It helps to know what surprises are coming!
